Data protection provisions
By applying for the levelUP! program you agree to the data protection provisions specified below. Participation in the program is voluntary. Each employee can decide on his/her own if he/she wants to take part under the data protection provisions mentioned here. When applying for the program, you confirm that you have read and agreed to the data protection provisions specified below.
This document specifies which personal data is recorded and further processed within the framework of taking part in the levelUP! program and its associated systems.
The levelUP! program will be conducted on two web applications: (1) the portal and (2) the E-LAB platform:
(1) The levelUP! portal offers the possibility to search, book and take part in events/seminars/webinars etc.; additionally, content will be made available (e.g. videos, document downloads, blogs etc.).
(2) The levelUP! E-LAB platform offers an academic program to the users with possibilities to work on assignments and to discuss with their coach and other users. Users can share knowledge and insights, discuss in forums and can publish forum posts, comments and assignment/work results on the platform. Additionally, content (e.g. videos, documents etc.) will be available.
Processing and use of personal data
The levelUP! program is run by DTAG. During operation and maintenance the service providers might have access to your data, if necessary.
Commissioned data privacy contracts and processes have been setup to ensure data will be processed according to German data privacy standards. The servers on which the data will be hosted are located in Germany and the hosting company has no access to the data.
By taking part you agree that the following personal data will be processed: First name, last name, work e-mail address, organization/department/segment and password. During the program, optional additional personal data will be created and stored, e.g. by making entries in the forum, by discussing with coaches and other participants, submitting documents/assignments or via setting your (optional) profile picture. During the program personal data will be exchanged worldwide between users. Personal data sent to other users of the levelUP! program might be stored by the receiving person or might be forwarded to third parties, which must not be users of the levelUP! program.
The applications (portal and E-LAB) themselves generate personal data when a user is active on the respective system, e.g. the applications register the domain name or the IP address of the requesting computer as well as the date of access, the file request of the client (file name and URL), the HTTP response code and the web site from which the applications have been visited. In some cases, the applications will store some information in the form of 'cookies' on your computer.
Your e-mail address will be used during the program for sending e-mails, e.g. invitations, confirmations, coach feedback or newsletters. Furthermore your e-mail address might be used for sending you an invitation to a survey.
The purpose of processing personal data
Your personal data will be used in order to authenticate you to the levelUP! systems. Further on, optional additional personal data (e.g. comments, forum posts) will be processed to exchange information and knowledge and to work together with other users, which are employees of other companies within Deutsche Telekom group worldwide. Your data (e.g. profile, forum entries etc.) will be visible to other users of the program worldwide (no client separation between Telekom units) and to the staff of the business school (e.g. coaches/teachers). Parts of your personal data will also be used for the setup of the peer learning groups on the business school platform. After the program has ended your personal data will be deleted form the systems.
Your personal data will not be transferred back to or further processed in other systems of Deutsche Telekom (e.g. no transfer of your personal data, learning progress, etc. to DTAG assessment, evaluation or personnel records systems; in case of certificates being issued during the program you would have to save by yourself).
Your profile data (in anonymized form) will also be processed in order to produce usage statistics. These statistics are collected in order to assess the program on the basis of objective metrics.
Your personal data (in anonymized form) will also be processed using analytic methods in order to improve the levelUP! program.
